§ 9.20.020. Permit—Application—Approval.

All applications for a permit to maintain and conduct a slaughterhouse, abattoir or other place for slaughtering animals, within the city or within one mile of the outer boundaries of the city, shall be made in writing to the city council, and shall state the location where such business is to be carried on. No permit shall be granted by the city council hereunder until and unless the location of such business has been first approved by the zoning board of adjustment.
