§ 9.20.050. Construction requirements generally.

  • Each meat-slaughtering establishment shall be so constructed as to permit maintenance in a clean, sanitary condition at all times with adequate drainage. All floors shall be of concrete, tile or other acceptable impervious material, sloped to a drain, and they shall be maintained in good repair. The drain shall be trapped and connected to a sanitary sewer or acceptable septic tank. The discharge of water and/or packinghouse waste directly on the ground or directly into any river, creek or other body of water is prohibited.
